The maximum number of people allowed overnight is 6 persons. Guests are allowed during the day with the maximum number of people on the property being 10 including the renters. After we receive your request for booking we will email you a short application form defining booking conditions and the payment schedule. After acceptance of the application the cottage directions will be sent to you.
We request the cottage be returned to us in the same condition it was provided to you. A departure checklist will be provided to ensure cottage is left in required state.A binder will be present when you arrive defining appliance operation and other helpful information. Note due to health concerns of our family and possibly future renters that pets and smoking are not allowed in the cottage.
Weekly rentals begin on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. and end on Saturday at 3:00 P.M. The rental period timeframes are provided in the rental application I provide. The cottage will also be available for weekend rentals for fall/winter.Other booking timeframes will be considered except for the summer high season.

A refundable damage/cleaning deposit of $300 will be charged which will be refunded if no damage is incurred and cleaning is not required .
The payment amounts will be determined based on when the cottage is rented. If the timeframe is several months away we typically ask for 3 cheques but if it is within 4 months a 50% deposit of the total amount is due upon booking,payable by cheque,money order, cable or cash. The final payment is required at the time of booking by post-dated cheque dated 3 weeks before arrival. If the cottage is booked less than 3 weeks before time of arrival, the entire amount is immediately payable in cash or certified cheque.

Linens are generally not provided with the exception of the king size bed in the master bedroom on the second floor as this is an uncommon size.All other rooms do not include the linens.Towels are not provided.Bed covers and blankets are provided for all beds. Beds on the first floor include a bunk bed in one bedroom(single/double combination) and a queen size bed in the other bedroom. A smaller fourth bedroom is located in the basement and consists of a single bunkbed and another single. I would provide other linens for the other rooms at an agreed cost if renters fly into Ottawa and can not bring linens.
